Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating the care needed by assigned patients under the guidance of a licensed physician. The RN must be proficient in the principles, theories, and current methods of nursing practice. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN collaborates with patients, their family members or significant others, professional peers, and other healthcare team members to customize patient care.

The RN will direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care consistent with the standards of nursing practice and administrative policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Direct and supervise nursing support staff in patient care duties.
• Maintain compliance with nursing standards and departmental policies.
• Stay current with nursing practices and techniques.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a clinical specialty preferred.
• PA Registered Nurse License required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Multi-State Compact RN License required.

Schedule

This position operates on a NOC 12-hour shift schedule.
