This position offers a rotating shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts is required.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits as you begin your career on a specialized neurological unit. This is an excellent chance to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing your nursing and critical thinking skills. You will work in a fast-paced environment, caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and more. As a part of a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitor Unit in the region, you will encounter many acute and complex patients. In this Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, you will collaborate with a specialty team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat seizures using state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology. Our multidisciplinary team values nurses' skills, talents, and compassion for our patient population.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of nursing experience
• Current RN License (New York only)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Telemetry experience is required
• NIHSS certification is highly preferred
