Job Description

This position offers an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department within a level 1 trauma center. The role caters to both inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Nurses will work within a multidisciplinary team, responsible for pre-procedural preparation and post-procedural recovery, including overnight observation care. Experience with gastrointestinal post-procedural care is preferred but not required. Ideal candidates will possess good communication skills and the ability to critically think in a high-energy environment of Diagnostic Imaging.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional procedures.
• Provide post-procedural care and recovery support.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses during overnight observation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Registered IR Nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• New York RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required.
