Job Description
The Med Surg Float Pool nurse provides comprehensive patient care across multiple medical-surgical units, adapting quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows. Nurses are expected to function independently, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and uphold all hospital policies and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Float between all inpatient Medical-Surgical units.
- Provide care to patients in step down and emergency departments (for med surg holds).
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies including attendance, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHHS.
- Strong proficiency in EPIC required.
