This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Note that block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Job Description

Join our team in the IMCU unit, providing essential care for patients with common diagnoses including neuro, cardiac, trauma, respiratory issues like COPD, DKA, sepsis, myocardial infarctions, and post-operative care. You will be working with a range of specialty equipment, including temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and ventilation support for chronic patients.

Responsibilities

As an IMCU/PCU RN, you will be responsible for:

Monitoring and managing patient care in a 64-bed unit with 15 designated neuro beds
Assisting with respiratory therapy and chronic ventilation support
Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Floating to other units as required

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU nursing
Travel nursing experience is required
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Active NY RN license and verification through NURSYS report
EMR experience with EPIC
