12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night) with a minimum of every other weekend required. Schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs, requiring flexibility from the candidate.
Job Description
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to established standards and protocols. The role entails a commitment to teamwork and collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in the emergency department.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
- Participate in patient and family education initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in an emergency department setting.
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC required.
- EPIC experience within the last 2 years is mandatory.
- Travel experience is preferred; candidates with large teaching facility backgrounds will be prioritized.
