Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with weekends as needed (likely every other weekend).

Job Description

The Med/Surg Unit requires an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care for adult and geriatric patients. The nurse will participate in a pre-screening process to determine clinical fit before being considered for final interview with the hiring manager. Candidates should be prepared to float to various medical-surgical floors as needed, and may care for COVID patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and health information.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist with patient assessments and care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health maintenance and disease management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg setting.
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Ability to float to all MS floors and potentially rehab units as needed.
• No license hits will be accepted; candidates must possess a valid RN license.
• Local candidates will be considered at a lower bill rate.
