Cardiac Sonographer II

Location

Kennebunk, ME

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5 days per week, approximately 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Outpatient site will vary between locations.

Job Description

The Cardiac Sonographer II performs moderate-complexity echocardiographic exams independently. This role requires the ability to recognize abnormal findings and exercise sound clinical judgment in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

Perform transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.
Complete prereads on all studies.
Start IVs and administer Definity contrast as needed.
Work independently with minimal onboarding.
Adhere to established protocols, documentation standards, and quality expectations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography or equivalent experience.
ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography (required).
BLS certification (required).
Minimum of 5 years of cardiac ultrasound experience.
Familiarity with Philips EPIQ ultrasound systems and Epic EMR preferred.
