Shifts are scheduled for 12-hour nights, with weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The registered nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in a med-surg unit, attending to a variety of common diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, acute mental status changes, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, and general weakness. Nurses are required to titrate certain drips, excluding cardiac drips, and manage patient assignments effectively in a collaborative environment with charge nurses and patient care technicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and manage patient assignments on the unit.
• Titrate drips, including heparin, bumex, and lasix.
• Perform nursing duties such as monitoring vital signs, conducting EKGs, and administering medications.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and assist patient care technicians as necessary.
• Monitor and respond to patients' needs and provide support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• BLS certification is required.
• A valid RN license is required.
• Must disclose any licensing hits at the time of submission.
• Candidates may possess PCT certification or have completed a CNA program.
