Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse with at least 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel. The position requires proactive involvement in patient care and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a stepdown unit, managing patient flow and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting while utilizing the designated electronic health record system.
• Participate in nursing team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 18 months of recent Stepdown experience or equivalent travel experience.
• Current Ohio nursing license or compact state license required.
• Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Passing scores on ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
