Full Time 3x12s - Day or Night Shift (scheduled as needed by client) + Every Other Weekend, Holidays, + 2 On Call Shifts in 4 weeks.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient's episode. The RN develops specialized skills in the area of patient admission for medical conditions, providing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations. The Registered Nurse is expected to promote comfort and provide emotional support in a Healing Environment.

Responsibilities

• Applies nursing knowledge and skill in the delivery of care.
• Assesses patient/family needs and creates individualized plans of care.
• Promotes and protects the health, safety, and rights of patients.
• Teaches patients/families about continuing care at home.
• Documents education provided and patient/family responses.
• Engages in self-evaluation and professional development.
• Creates and maintains meaningful connections with patients and families.
• Demonstrates skill in medication administration and intervention application.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS RN Licensure Required
• One (1) Year Experience serving in a Med/Surg Environment as a Registered Nurse Required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI only), NIHSS
