Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. The nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients with a variety of conditions, focusing on post-surgical care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients, including administering medications and treatments.
- Assist with patient hygiene and comfort, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Monitor and document patient symptoms and progress.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Utilize specialty equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
- Active New York RN license and all active RN licenses.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Travel experience is required.
- Experience with EPIC EMR system.
- Drivers license with an address matching demographics.
Patient Demographics
Adults with common diagnoses such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity.
