Schedule

Day Shift - 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 40 hours per week, with weekend and holiday requirements as needed.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for ensuring safe procedures in the delivery of cardiac services to patients. Key responsibilities include assisting in procedure preparation, maintaining accurate procedural logs, and ensuring proper handling of equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing patients for procedures and educate them on pre and post-operative care.
• Maintain and operate technical equipment including x-ray and film processing tools.
• Ensure accurate handling of supplies, checking for expiration dates and maintaining orderliness.
• Scrub with cardiologists during procedures, demonstrating knowledge of individual preferences.
• Verify patient identification, consents, and proper documentation for each procedure.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and universal precautions throughout invasive procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Experience with permanent pacemaker placement is preferred.
• Required Licenses: BLS, Radiology certification.
• Must maintain IABP Certification and pass Monitor Technician Certification annually.
