Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in a specialized unit. This position requires a strong background in Neuroscience ICU settings, including experience with external ventricular drains (EVD), intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, and post-care for angiograms and various neurosurgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to stroke patients and post-operative neurosurgery patients.
• Monitor and manage intracranial pressure and other vital signs.
• Administer medications and therapies as per protocols including CRRT and ventilator management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain thorough documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro ICU setting.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and EPIC experience required.
• Experience with patients requiring multisystem organ dysfunction management.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage complex patient needs in a critical care environment.
