Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30); every other weekend required.

Job Description

The MS/Tele RN will be responsible for providing care in the observation unit with a quick patient turnover. Duties include managing telemetry patients and handling various patient diagnoses such as chest pain, abdominal pain, UTIs, and trauma/ortho cases.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings.
• Initiate and manage peritoneal dialysis exchanges in coordination with dialysis nurses.
• Provide nursing care for patients with renal failure, trauma, and orthopedic conditions.
• Document patient exchanges and changes in condition.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in MS/Tele nursing.
• Active Maryland RN License or Compact License.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• Telemetry specific skills such as interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias.
