RN - MS Stroke Stepdown - Night Shift

Night shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the MS Stroke Stepdown unit. The nurse will care for adult patients experiencing common diagnoses such as Stroke, altered mental status, renal issues, COPD, CHF, isolation, general medical-surgical conditions, pneumonia, and pulmonary issues. The unit features 64 beds and utilizes specialized equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the MS Stroke Stepdown unit.
Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
Utilize specialty equipment effectively to support patient treatment.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Document care provided and maintain patient records accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in MS Stroke Stepdown.
Current AHA BLS certification.
NIHSS certification.
Active New York RN license and all active RN licenses.
NURSYS report for license verification.
