Registered Nurse - Telemetry Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), including every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry to provide high-quality care for patients in an inpatient department. The ideal candidate will have strong telemetry skills and experience with a diverse patient population, including those with multiple comorbidities and specialized stroke care.

Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret telemetry data; respond to changes in patient conditions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Manage feeding tubes and intravenous access, including starting IVs and administering blood products.
Provide wound care and implement isolation precautions as required.
Deliver patient and family education regarding care and ongoing management of health issues.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry unit.
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
Experience with EPIC charting system is essential.
Must complete a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance.
No open cases on background checks and a valid nursing license required at the time of submission.
