Job Description

The Behavioral Health/Psych RN will be responsible for providing care in a dynamic environment focusing on adult patients with various psychiatric disorders. The candidate should be well-versed in care protocols and adept at responding to psychiatric emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to adult patients.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Develop care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Conduct patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required.
• Current RN license in West Virginia or compact license pending acceptance.
• Certifications in BCLS, CPI, and First Aid are required; CPI and First Aid can be obtained during orientation.
• Experience with mental health disorders preferred.
• Must complete fingerprinting at least 7-10 business days prior to start.
