Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care.

Responsibilities

Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of the staff available.
Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Two to five years of nursing experience required.
Must have ACLS & BLS certifications (American Heart Association).
Experience with vent/trach, central lines, and preferred wound care.
Must possess Ohio or multi-state compact RN license.
