12-hour shifts, rotating every two weeks with every other weekend required. Call shifts included.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will work in a fully equipped labor and delivery unit, providing care for patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The nurse will support mothers and newborns through the childbirth process and will manage the unit’s workflow, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage and care for expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Oversee the health and well-being of newborns immediately after delivery.
• Assist in neonatal resuscitations and other emergency procedures.
• Perform IV starts, lab draws, and utilize monitoring equipment as necessary.
• Manage patient records in the Epic documentation system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in LDRP nursing.
• Current certifications in BLS and NRP are required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Experience with Epic documentation within the past two years is mandatory.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of labor and delivery procedures and support for mothers and newborns.
