Job Description

This is a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a level 1 Trauma center. We cater to inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team and are responsible for the pre-procedural preparation of patients and post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care. This is an exciting opportunity for nurses who want to work in the high-energy environment of Diagnostic Imaging, specializing in providing care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRI's, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound. Good communication skills, as well as the ability to critically think, are essential.

Responsibilities

• Pre-procedural preparation of patients
• Post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care for IR patients
• Care for patients boarding overnight pre or post procedure

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years' Registered Nursing experience
• 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience preferred
• Telemetry experience required
• New York RN license (only)
• BLS (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS (American Heart Association only)
