4x12 Hour Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:00, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The MedSurg/Telemetry RN will provide high-quality care to patients on the Acute Stroke Unit, specializing in the management of acute stroke patients and other neurological disorders, while ensuring optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg patients.
• Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Administer IV therapy and perform phlebotomy; manage peripheral line care.
• Utilize nasal cannulas, oxygen face masks, and portable oxygen tanks as required.
• Maintain isolation precautions and follow appropriate infection control procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid New York State RN license in hand - no exceptions.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of MedSurg/Telemetry nursing experience is required.
• Experience with EPIC charting is mandatory.
