Job Description

The Staff Nurse, RN provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. This role involves creating an atmosphere that supports our mission to care, heal, and educate. As the primary caregiver, the Staff Nurse, RN delivers direct patient care and collaborates with other care team members, physicians, and the patient/family to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The incumbent has access to confidential patient information and is responsible for making independent decisions as well as collaborating with others. The Staff Nurse, RN operates under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and the indirect supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using nursing skills and processes.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Collaborate with care team members and effectively communicate with patients and families.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Make independent and collaborative decisions regarding patient care.

Schedule

This position requires three twelve-hour shifts weekly, including every other weekend.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current ACLS certification is a must.
• BLS certification is necessary.
• Experience in med/surg telemetry and step-down ICU preferred.
