12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM; requires rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Acute Rehabilitation unit will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, spinal surgeries, and amputations. The RN will work within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through coordinated care and rehabilitation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and monitor patient vital signs and conditions.
• Collaborate with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and neuropsychology professionals.
• Participate in team conferences for acute inpatient rehabilitation.
• Administer medications and manage care plans effectively as outlined by patient needs.
• Support nursing students and nurse aides as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of bedside nursing experience is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Must possess a valid RN license, with a residency outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
