12-hour night shifts, weekends as scheduled. Shifts are from 1900 to 0730 with a 1/2 hour lunch break.

Job Description

The Ortho-Neuro unit specializes in a variety of orthopedic and neurological cases, including elective surgeries (hips, knees, shoulders), fractures from falls, and back and neck surgeries. This unit provides care to patients in 33 private rooms, with a staff-to-patient ratio of 1 nurse to 6 patients. Our nursing team collaborates closely with Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions.
• Administer medications and manage PCA pumps.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
• Assist with necessary treatments and procedures according to clinical protocols.
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare providers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have experience with orthopedic patients and PCA pumps.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• EPIC experience is required.
