This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

12-hour night shifts, with weekends as scheduled. Travelers are expected to be flexible and assist with permanent staff schedules.

Job Description

This position requires floating to multiple units with varying acuity levels. Nurses will be expected to manage patients across different departments, including Critical Care Unit (CCU), Intermediate Care (IMC), and Medical/Surgical (MS) units. The role involves providing high-quality patient care while adapting to diverse patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient ratios varying from 1:2-10, depending on the unit.
• Titrate drips in CCU and ED units; handle critical drips as required.
• Ensure the administration of respiratory treatments and troubleshoot equipment as necessary.
• Communicate unit assignments promptly via text message prior to shift start.
• Participate in a call for assistance as needed during shifts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS and ACLS certifications required, especially for those working in CCU or ED.
• A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required.
• At least 1 year of ICU or ED experience is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple patient care tasks and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
