12-hour day/night rotating shifts with a 48-hour guarantee. Weekends are scheduled as per unit requirements.

Job Description

The Intermediate Care Unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with intermediate acuity needs, managing various diagnoses including chest pain, heart failure, and arrhythmias. The RN will work closely with a supportive team that includes charge nurses, clinical assistants, and a committed IV team.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with conditions including chest pain, r/o MI, CHF, and post-procedure care.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, ensuring appropriate response to changes in patient condition.
• Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and others as required.
• Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists who are available 24/7.
• Participate in floating to MedSurg as necessary, adhering to designated patient ratios.
• Engage in effective communication with patients and families about care plans and progress.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Valid nursing license and ability to disclose any licensing issues at the time of submission.
