Job Description

The position involves providing critical care in the ICU, which consists of 6 beds and a patient ratio of 2:1. The candidate will be responsible for utilizing equipment such as Phillips ICU monitors, Meditech EMR, and Baxter IV pumps to manage complex patient cases typical in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings for patients with tracheostomy and endotracheal tubes.
• Titrate sedation and vasopressor drips including Versed, Propofol, Fentanyl, Cardizem, and Amiodarone.
• Administer DKA insulin drips and manage patients in respiratory failure, CHF, and other critical conditions.
• Perform defibrillation and medication management during code blue situations.
• Participate in rotating to float to other departments as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Experience with CVP lines and arterial lines is preferred but not mandatory.
