Job Description

Seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse with strong expertise in managing patients in a neurocritical care environment. The position requires working in a 10-bed Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit, providing care for critically ill stroke patients and individuals undergoing neurosurgery or neuro-endovascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients post-operatively following neurosurgery and neuro-endovascular procedures.
• Perform assessments and interventions for patients with neurological conditions, including ICP monitoring and EVD management.
• Administer care for stroke patients, including those receiving mechanical thrombectomy and IV tPA.
• Provide ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring in a critical care setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Neuro ICU setting.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with CRRT, EVD, angiogram post care, and other neurological procedures is essential.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.
