Emergency Room RN - Night Shift

Location

Hurricane, WV

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Emergency Room RN will provide critical care in a high-paced environment, working in a unit of 5 beds plus 2 endoscopy beds. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic services such as electrocardiography, respiratory monitoring, and managing patients' needs, specifically focusing on procedural sedation administration and monitoring, triaging, and care of ventilated patients.

Responsibilities

Administer continuous IV sedation and interpret/manage dysrhythmias.
Provide triage and care for ventilated patients.
Float within the scope of practice to meet the needs of the facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

2 years of registered nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency department or similar specialty.
Travel experience is required.
BLS and ACLS certifications, with CPI and TNCC preferred.
West Virginia or Compact RN license required (pending licenses accepted).
