Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) / OR Tech

Location

Position available in West Virginia.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are 10 hours long from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with weekend and weekday call rotation, and holiday call rotation as needed.

Job Description

Seeking experienced Surgery RNs and OR Technicians for a fast-paced surgical unit with a focus on orthopedic and neurosurgical cases. The unit has 14 surgical suites and averages 28 cases per day, including add-ons. Responsible for ensuring safe and effective patient care during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide quality care and support to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Assist in the turnover of operating rooms and manage surgical instruments.
Participate in call rotations as scheduled.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

2-3 years of experience in the surgical specialty, with 2-3 previous travel assignments preferred.
Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and PALS for RNs; BLS for OR Techs, with CST preferred.
Orthopedic and neurosurgical experience preferred.
Valid nursing or technician license with a driver's license address outside of 50 miles from the facility.
