Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing practice of the unit during the assigned shift, reporting to the Unit Manager or designated nursing supervisor. This role involves providing professional nursing care based on the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient health data systematically and prioritize based on patient needs.
• Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Identify expected outcomes tailored to each patient.
• Develop and document a plan of care with relevant interventions.
• Implement nursing interventions as per the established care plan.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance nursing practice.
• Maintain professional standards of practice and engage in self-evaluation.
• Contribute to the professional development of peers and nursing students.
• Collaborate with patients and healthcare teams to provide optimal care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Preference will be given to candidates with EPIC patient charting experience.
