7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3 days a week, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients’ needs while identifying priorities through assessments and evaluations. The nurse will develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans based on ongoing assessments.

Responsibilities

• Initiate assessment based on patient problems, physician diagnosis, and functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
• Document care according to standards of care and practice.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice and support innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Float to other units within competency as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience in a MS/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital.
• Strong background in MS/Tele nursing required.
• Required certifications: ACLS-AHA, NIHSS, BLS-AHA, CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours), and Telemetry.
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
