Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00), on-call duties required, including mandatory weekends and holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OB/Labor and Delivery RN to join our collaborative team in a Baby Friendly Designated Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of triage, labor and delivery, and routine postpartum/newborn care, with strong multitasking abilities and critical thinking skills to navigate patient dynamics within the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery, including high-risk deliveries.
• Perform routine assessments and monitoring for both mothers and newborns.
• Administer medications and therapies as required, including magnesium sulfate and Pitocin.
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries and perform newborn assessments and discharge teaching.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimized patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience in OB/Labor and Delivery.
• Current RN License (WV or Compact License accepted).
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP required; STABLE preferred.
• Travel experience is welcomed.
• Must be able to provide at least two manager/charge references from the past two years.
