Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
12-hour night shifts with a minimum requirement of every other weekend. This schedule may be adjusted based on the needs of the unit and patient care.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Medical ICU position, with the potential to float to the Surgical ICU. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, managing multiple titrating drips, and providing critical ventilator care. Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multi-system disease cases.
Responsibilities
- Start IVs and manage multiple titrating drips.
- Provide critical care for ventilated patients.
- Handle complex medical cases including CRRT, IAPB, and ECMO.
- Float to SICU and other designated areas as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- AHA BLS and ACLS certification required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start.
- CCRN certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of unit experience in a large teaching facility.
- Prior travel nursing experience is necessary.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records within the past 2 years is non-negotiable.
