Job Description
The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound examinations in an independent capacity, covering outpatient and emergency department cases. The position requires successful interaction with patients across various age groups, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The technologist will have access to a radiologist via phone for urgent queries.
Responsibilities
- Execute ultrasound procedures for various medical conditions.
- Assist in transporting and moving patients in other modalities as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the EPIC charting system.
- Perform Doppler studies and other vascular examinations as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ultrasound technology.
- Relevant certifications: ARDMS, RDMS in AB/OB, RVT, and BLS.
- Experience with Siemens and Acuson ultrasound equipment.
- Experience working with PACS and portable ultrasound units.
- Previous experience in emergency department ultrasound preferred.
