Night Shift: 12 Nights per 36-hour week, every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, preventing illness and injury, and alleviating suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response. The RN is responsible for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act and relevant policies. The RN fosters a caring and healing environment and is accountable for patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.
• Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management.
• Manage medications safely according to United Health Services policy.
• Participate in nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements compliance.
• Engage in professional development and ongoing education.
• Support a learning environment for new employees and students.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NYS RN License.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• Experience in a cardiac telemetry department, including familiarity with TAVR, watchmans, heart catheterizations, and more.
