Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Medical Surgical RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high turnover environment and will be adept at managing a patient ratio of 1:6. You will be responsible for a range of duties, including starting IVs, inserting Foley catheters, and performing EKGs. This position requires competencies in a variety of nursing skills and a commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

Manage patient care effectively for a ratio of 1:6.
Start IVs, insert Foley catheters, and NG tubes as needed.
Monitor patient conditions and administer medication as per protocols.
Perform EKGs and manage heparin drips according to physician orders.
Document all patient interactions in the EHR (Paragon).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience with at least 1 completed travel assignment.
Required certifications: NIH, ACLS, and BLS.
Experience in a fast-paced medical surgical environment is preferred.
