Job Description

This position is in an Adult Forensics/Intensive Unit requiring a highly experienced Registered Nurse. The role involves working directly with a multidisciplinary team to identify individual and group needs and interventions, utilizing the nursing process to provide complex nursing care. The position includes the clinical supervision of Mental Health Workers (MHWs) to ensure safe and therapeutic delivery of patient care in a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult psychiatric patients in a secure unit.
• Perform clinical assessments and develop care plans based on individual patient needs.
• Ensure the safe and therapeutic delivery of care by supervising MHWs.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to address co-occurring disorders.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have recent experience in adult forensics within the last 3 months.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with psychiatric inpatient experience in the last 3 months.
• Experience in intensive/forensic psych/behavioral health with listed age groups on resume.
• Must have an active Vermont or Compact RN license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Ability to float to other units and take charge shifts as needed.
