Schedule

12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. Every-other-weekend is required, with shifts on Saturday and Sunday.

Job Description

The MedSurg/Tele Float Pool requires a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care across various departments. This role involves floating to different units as needed, primarily serving patients with common diagnoses such as CHF, pneumonia, COPD, and more. The nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Float to various MedSurg and Telemetry units as assigned.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, ensuring timely intervention.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document care and maintain accurate patient records in the EPIC charting system.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation and ability to pass a cardiac rhythm exam.
• Preferred familiarity with common telemetry drips; will not be required to titrate.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips is necessary.
