Part Time (2x12s) - Day or Night Shift, scheduled as needed with every other weekend and holidays required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient’s episode.

Responsibilities

• Applies nursing knowledge and skill in the delivery of care.
• Assesses patient/family needs through active listening and analyzes data obtained through direct observation/assessment.
• Creates an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, physician, and healthcare team members.
• Promotes and protects the health, safety, and rights of the patient.
• Teaches others as appropriate and motivates the patient/family in the continued care process post-hospitalization.
• Evaluates quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and engages in self-evaluation of practice.
• Builds meaningful connections with patients and families, creating a healing environment.
• Demonstrates skill in the application of interventions including medication administration.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS RN Licensure Required
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI only), NIHSS
• One (1) Year Experience serving in a Med/Surg Environment as a Registered Nurse Required
