Job Description

The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in our region, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. This role requires competence in the care of medical and surgical populations.

Responsibilities

• Administer ACLS and advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including pressor usage and titration protocols.
• Manage antihypertensive and sedative drips, narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, and various intravenous lines.
• Provide care for patients requiring HFNC, BIPAP/CPAP, and oxypendent.
• Implement infection prevention protocols and maintain patient safety standards.
• Work collaboratively within a team to deliver high acuity patient care with an average patient load of 3 high acuity patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Epic experience is required.
• Large scale adult Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience or community hospital ICU experience preferred.
• Current ACLS certification.
