Job Description

Functioning within the Health System's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift. The RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient care needs and applying clinical skills to meet those needs.
• Planning and implementing patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Evaluating effectiveness of care and adjusting plans as needed.
• Directing and teaching non-RN staff in patient care activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ Years of ICU Experience - Required
• Immediate Open Heart Recovery Experience - Preferred
• TNCC Certification - Highly Preferred
• Active Ohio or Compact RN License - Required
• Active American Heart Association BLS - Required
• Active American Heart Association ACLS - Required
• Active NIHSS Certification - Required
• Must float to all units within skill level - Required
