The schedule for this position includes a variable shift of 7a-7p or 7p-7a, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit, demonstrating a strong knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan. You will be responsible for assessing patient data, interpreting information to identify patient requirements, and delivering age-appropriate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients in the ICU setting.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and enhance teamwork.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure professionalism in all interactions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Participate in ongoing education and certification as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required through the RQI system, and Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Recommended certifications: Emergency Nurses Association within 2 years of hire, TNCC within 2 years of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
