This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The position requires 12-hour night shifts with the option to pick up extra 8-hour shifts. A minimum of every other weekend is expected. No block schedules are available.

Job Description

The Med-Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to a variety of patients, with a focus on telemetry and medical-surgical nursing. Nurses are responsible for applying, interpreting telemetry rhythms, and responding to patient needs in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data for adult patients.
• Perform nursing procedures including NG tube insertion and peripheral IV insertion.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with at least 1 year of Med-Surg Telemetry experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Telemetry certification is preferred.
• Must have IV experience and completed NIHSS before starting.
• Epic experience within the past 2 years is required.
