Schedule

3x12s day/night shift variable (scheduled as needed by the client) + every other weekend, holidays, plus 2 on-call shifts in 4 weeks.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient's episode.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs through active listening and social perceptiveness.
• Create individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Promote health, safety, and rights of patients while building mutual trust among team members.
• Teach patients and families about self-care and lifestyle changes to support health and healing.
• Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and engage in professional development.
• Develop trusting relationships with patients and families to enhance care experiences.
• Administer medications and interventions safely and effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS RN Licensure required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI only), NIHSS required.
• One year of experience serving in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse required.
