Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The nurse will identify patient needs, determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, and develop individualized plans of care through ongoing assessments.

Responsibilities

• Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician's medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage overall patient care.
• Document care based on standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support their adoption in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience required.
• ASN from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: RN, BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS, Tele Certification required.
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
