Surgical Technologist - Open-Heart Experience Required

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist with extensive Open-Heart experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program and hold a BLS certification. While a CST certification is preferred, it is not required. The position requires a minimum of two years of recent Open-Heart surgical experience and excellent critical thinking skills, as well as knowledge of central processing and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Assist in Open-Heart procedures and general surgical operations.
Prepare and maintain sterile environments including instrumentation.
Float to assist in General Surgery as needed when CVOR volumes are low.
Perform duties as required during assigned on-call shifts.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, working either four 10-hour days or five 8-hour shifts from 6 am to 2:30 pm, depending on the traveler’s preference. The surgical technologist will be expected to take at least 2-3 days of call per week, with weekend call starting after the Friday shift and extending until Monday morning.
