Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Open Heart Registered Nurse to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing open heart surgeries and related procedures. The position requires experience in cardiac care, with strong skills in ECMO, LVAD, and the ability to assist in various chest surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for open heart surgery patients
• Manage ECMO and LVAD patients, ensuring safe and effective care
• Assist in surgical procedures, including scrub and circulate duties
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
• Provide education and support to patients and families

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license required
• ACLS and BLS certifications necessary
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in open heart surgery or related specialty
• Experience with robotic assistance in surgeries is preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass a mandatory EKG exam as part of compliance
• Must be flexible with scheduling; zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and absences
