Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN will provide high-quality patient care, utilizing their thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to assess patient's needs. Responsibilities include recognizing safety issues, implementing safe patient handling techniques, and functioning well in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in an operating room setting.
• Have strong leadership abilities for prioritizing and delegating tasks.
• Assume duties as a charge nurse as required.
• Utilize typical clinical equipment and instrumentation safely.
• Interpret lethal dysrhythmias.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State RN license or eligibility preferred.
• Minimum one year of medical/surgical experience preferred; preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred.
• BLS certification required; must be obtained within three months of hire.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Completion of the six-month Association of Operating Room Nursing Peri-operative 101 Education Program for those without recent operating room experience, with successful passing grade on the final exam mandatory for employment.
